We are a South Wales based HR Consultancy providing specialist expertise and support.

Our key interest is helping our clients to adopt high-performance work practices, such as engagement and recognition systems. However, we also support with operational HR, such as contract templates, policy development and workplace conflicts.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner to join our team at Cobalt HR. You will work closely with managers and leaders to provide expert HR advice, drive people-focused solutions, and support organisational objectives.

The successful candidate will be a confident relationship builder with strong employment law knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and challenge constructively.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our clients, to implement and deliver an exceptional HR service.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and programmes that support business objectives, enhance employee engagement, and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Work closely and build strong relationships with our clients. Coach, advise and challenge, where appropriate, business leaders on short- and medium-term HR issues as required.
  • Provide operational HR support on (for example) organisation change, recruitment, Employment Relations issues.
  • Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
  • Successfully deliver client responsive, cost effective and integrated people solutions that address key business objectives, gaining acceptance from key stakeholders.
  • Keep ours and client policies up to date and ensure clients are appropriately briefed on any changes.
  • Identify appropriate training needs. Prepare and deliver training sessions, both online and face to face.
  • Prepare and analyse HR metrics and data to identify trends, inform decision-making, and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
  • Undertake employment status reviews and job evaluations, as needed.
  • Business Development support, bringing in new work for the business to meet client needs. Target to be agreed.

Essential Skills

  • Strategic approach to service delivery.
  • Strong employment law skills and exceptional experience of implementing change.
  • Proven experience of generalist HR work, including handling grievances and change management.
  • Experience of working with multiple clients and able to prioritise effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills in order to improve people management.
  • Demonstrate strong business/commercial approach and understanding of business needs.
  • Passionate about customer service with the ability to articulate previous achievements through business deliverables.
  • An awareness of Organisational Development activities, such as 360 degree appraisals, employee engagement.
  • Good team working skills, able to be flexible to meet client needs.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, preferably People HR. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be prepared to visit clients.
  • Valid driving licence and access to a car.

Remuneration

The HR Business Partner role will receive a pro-rated salary of £40,000 - £42,000 per year plus a pension package and commission scheme.

Hours of Role

The hours of this role will be 16 hours per week.
