HR Business Partner

£55,000-60,000 + Benefits

Based Bradford - onsite

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a well-established, international manufacturing business who are looking to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner to support their growing UK operation, based in Bradford.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working closely with people at all levels and wants to play a key role in supporting both the workforce and wider business objectives within a fast-paced industrial environment.

As HR Business Partner for the site this is a standalone role and will cover every aspect of HR for the site, you will act as a trusted HR partner to employees and managers providing practical advice and support throughout the full employee lifecycle. No job too big or too small, you could be developing strategy one day, managing a disciplinary or supporting on social events and engagement initiatives

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers on HR policies, processes and best practice.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives, processes and systems aligned with the wider HR strategy.
  • Manage and support recruitment activity, including the creation and maintenance of job descriptions.
  • Develop and deliver effective onboarding processes to ensure new employees are successfully integrated into the business.
  • Support managers with performance management, including objective setting, reviews and follow-up actions.
  • Provide advice and support on disciplinary and grievance matters, ensuring compliance with company policy and employment legislation.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in line with internal policies and legal requirements.
  • Review employment terms and working practices to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Support positive and constructive relationships with trade unions and contribute to effective employee and industrial relations.
  • Provide guidance across key HR areas including pay and benefits, learning and development, recruitment and employee relations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across HR processes and practices.

Requirements

We're looking for an experienced HR professional with a strong generalist background, ideally gained within unionised manufacturing, engineering or wider industrial environments.

You'll be commercially aware, confident working with stakeholders at all levels and comfortable operating in a hands-on HR role where no two days are the same.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Senior HR Officer/Advisor, HR Manager or similar HR role.
  • Experience working within an industrial, manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Experience of working with Unions would be an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of core HR disciplines, including recruitment, employee relations, learning & development and pay & benefits.
  • A good understanding of UK employment legislation and disciplinary processes.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach with sound judgement and decision-making skills.
