Human Resources Business Partner – Retail – London

Our client is a fast-growing international fashion brand operating at the intersection of style, culture, and innovation. With a strong digital presence and an expanding retail footprint, the company has built a loyal global customer base by staying trend-led, being entrepreneurial, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

As the business continues to scale, they are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to support their retail organization and help shape the next chapter of their people strategy.

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded HR professional to partner closely with retail and corporate leaders in a dynamic, high-growth environment. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will support key people initiatives across performance management, employee relations, talent development, workforce planning, and organizational change.

The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, helping leaders build high-performing teams while ensuring a positive and engaging employee experience across the business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with retail and corporate leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, talent strategy, and change initiatives
  • Translate business priorities into people strategies that drive engagement, performance, and retention
  • Support retail leadership teams while acting as a key link between field operations and head office functions
  • Lead performance management activities, including coaching, development planning, and talent reviews
  • Partner with leaders on succession planning and internal talent development initiatives
  • Manage employee relations matters, investigations, performance concerns, and disciplinary processes
  • Guide employment legislation, HR policies, and best practices
  • Support leaders through periods of growth, transformation, and organizational change
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a strong company culture
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and HR Operations teams to deliver a seamless employee experience
  • Use workforce data and insights to identify trends and provide recommendations to business leaders
  • Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as the organization grows

Requirements:

MUST: 8+ years of HR experience, including experience as an HR Business Partner within retail, fashion, consumer, or multi-site environments

MUST: Experience supporting both retail/field-based and corporate employee populations

MUST: Strong employee relations experience and knowledge of UK employment law

MUST: Proven ability to influence, coach, and partner with leaders across multiple levels

  • Experience leading performance management, talent development, and organizational change initiatives
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align people strategies with business goals
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
