HR Consultant – Redwing Solutions

  • Salary: £44,000 to £46,500 FTE + discretionary bonus
  • Location: Redditch
  • Hours: Full-time 37.5. 30 hours per week will be considered

Our brilliant client, Redwing Solutions Ltd, have a fantastic opportunity available, to join their established and highly regarded HR consultancy based in Redditch, Worcestershire.

Unlike other HR Consultant roles that can be a little isolated and mean travelling to clients, this position sits in a very friendly and supportive office environment where it’s never an issue to run something past a colleague and sense check your thinking, enabling you to enjoy the many benefits of a consultancy role, but maintain the team spirit and structured environment that can make those challenging days far better. The Role

As an HR Consultant, you'll be one of the senior members of the small HR team, providing expert employment law and HR advice to managers, business owners and in-house HR professionals. You'll be advising clients on a varied caseload of complex employee relations matters while coaching and supporting them to make sound, commercially focused and legally compliant decisions. You’ll need to have great relationship building and influencing skills.

Your day would look like:

  • Advising clients on complex disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence cases.
  • Advising clients on restructuring, redundancy and occasionally TUPE projects.
  • Coaching managers through these challenging issues, to support them in the best way possible.
  • Producing high-quality letters, templates, policies, procedures and guidance documents.
  • Building strong and lasting relationships with the clients, some have been with this business over 20 years!

To be considered for this role you must be someone who enjoys helping clients to solve complex people problems and can confidently coach clients through all kinds of difficult employee situations. You must have significant HR generalist experience and a strong understanding of UK employment legislation, alongside extensive employee relations expertise of managing complex disciplinary, grievance, capability, redundancy and absence cases.

It would be really helpful if you’ve worked in a regulated environment with external bodies such as Ofsted, and have knowledge of safeguarding processes, and TUPE experience, however these are not essential to be considered for the role.

You must hold a CIPD qualification at level 5 or above, or equivalent experience. Due to the office being in a lovely rural barn location just outside of Redditch, you will need your own transport, however parking is provided for free. This role is based in the office on a full-time basis, which helps the team with collaboration, learning and to maintain work-life boundaries.
