Job title: HR Coordinator
Working Pattern
Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, 9.00 – 5.00pm
Base Location
Reading Bridge House, RG1 8LS (3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home)
Position
Fixed Term Contract (4 months with the possibility to extend), Start date ASAP

Reporting to the Head of HR Services, this role is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a collaborative, and forward-thinking HR function in a growing national business undergoing a period of operational change where no two days are the same. Not only will you act as a trusted first point of contact for HR queries supporting across the full employee lifecycle, but we encourage you to bring with you your existing HR knowledge and experience by contributing your ideas towards our current, exciting projects where your input will be highly valued.

What you’ll be doing as an HR Coordinator
- Responding to 30-40 emails per day within the shared HR inbox in a timely manner, escalating when necessary
- Managing new hire paperwork such as producing and issuing contracts, offer letters, and employee change documentation e.g. job titles, promotions, and transfers
- Managing leaver processes such as resignations, dismissals, and fixed term contract administration
- Liaising with Payroll to process absence management records
- Supporting with the maintenance of our current HRIS system, maintaining accurate and compliant records in line with employment legislation and company policies
- Engaging with and contributing ideas towards existing projects within the HR function

What expertise you’ll bring to the role
The mandatory criteria you’ll need are:
- Strong, proven experience within an HR environment, including the administration of absence management and flexible working requests
- Experience working in a tech-enabled environment, with developed AI skills and expertise
- Confidence working within a dynamic, fast-paced environment undergoing a period of operational change
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Excellent understanding of MS Office package, including Outlook, and maintaining HR information systems
- A self-starting attitude able to work independently, with the confidence to collaborate with others for support and clarity of tasks
- Willingness to propose ideas for process improvement, with a client first delivery approach
The worthy skills beneficial to the role are:
- Experience working within financial services
- CIPD qualification desirable
