HR Coordinator Opportunity
My client, a leading global law firm, with offices in all the major cities around the world, are looking to recruit a HR Coordinator into their wider HR team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a high-performing and collaborative HR team within a prestigious international professional services environment. Supporting the London office, you'll play a pivotal role across the full employee lifecycle, working closely with HR leaders, business services teams and colleagues across Europe and North America.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of HR activities including onboarding, immigration, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration and HR projects, making this an excellent role for someone looking to further develop their generalist HR career within a fast-paced global organisation.
Role Overview
As HR Coordinator, you will provide comprehensive support across all areas of HR, ensuring a first-class employee experience while maintaining high levels of accuracy, professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate pre-employment screening, reference checks and background verification processes.
- Manage onboarding activities and facilitate new joiner inductions.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Maintain HR trackers, employee records and HR systems, ensuring data accuracy at all times.
- Support employee lifecycle changes including promotions, transfers and departures.
- Manage leaver administration and assist with exit interview processes.
- Coordinate visa and immigration processes with external providers and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor visa expiry dates and maintain accurate immigration records.
- Support international transfers and secondments.
- Assist with sponsored worker audits and compliance activities.
- Coordinate periodic background screening programmes.
- Support monthly payroll processes and benefits administration.
- Assist with annual benefits renewals and open enrolment activities.
- Maintain benefits communications and employee information guides.
- Coordinate wellbeing initiatives and employee engagement activities.
- Support the annual performance review and appraisal process.
- Coordinate probation reviews and monitor key deadlines.
- Assist with the organisation and delivery of training and development programmes.
- Produce and maintain tracking reports and HR metrics where required.
- Act as a first point of contact for HR-related queries.
- Provide administrative support across employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Take meeting notes where appropriate and maintain accurate records.
- Support absence management processes, including sickness absence administration and occupational health referrals.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A minimum of 4 years' HR experience gained within a legal, professional services or similarly fast-paced corporate environment.
- Strong generalist HR knowledge across the employee lifecycle.
- Previous experience supporting onboarding, performance management and employee relations processes.
- Exposure to immigration, mobility or compliance activities would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a genuine team-oriented mindset.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- CIPD qualification (or currently studying towards CIPD) is desirable.
