Office based in Altrincham, Greater Manchester
Novax Recruitment is growing, and we’re looking for someone to help us hire well and get our internal people processes in better shape.
This is a hands-on role with internal recruitment as the main priority. You’ll work closely with our managers to understand who they need, find and engage candidates, and keep each vacancy moving from brief through to offer. Alongside this, you’ll review the HR administration that supports our team, including onboarding, employee records and health and safety documentation.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys doing the work as well as improving the process. You don’t need to be a senior HR Manager, but you do need to be confident managing internal hiring and working independently.

What you’ll do
- Take briefs from hiring managers and turn them into clear job adverts and candidate searches
- Source and approach candidates for internal roles
- Screen applications, arrange interviews and keep candidates updated
- Help managers maintain a consistent interview and selection process
- Coordinate offers and improve the handover into onboarding
- Review our onboarding documents, employee records and routine HR administration
- Help organise health and safety records and documentation, flagging gaps for the appropriate person to address
- Recommend practical improvements that the team can continue using after the contract ends
What you’ll bring
- Experience managing recruitment from vacancy brief through to offer, ideally for internal roles
- Confidence sourcing candidates directly, rather than relying only on applications
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- The ability to work with managers, challenge a brief when needed and follow up on decisions
- A practical understanding of onboarding and HR administration

Experience in a recruitment agency, sales business or another fast-moving environment would be useful. Generalist HR experience is welcome, but your ability to deliver internal hires is the priority.
The contract
This is an office-based role in Altrincham, working three days per week for four months at £225 per day. We can agree the working days as part of the interview process.
