HR Case Management Coordinator
Contract: 12 months
Salary: £31,326 - £35,608 per annum
Hybrid
Responsible to: HR Case Manager
Essential: HR administration experience and strong organisational skills
Location: Central Cambridge
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR administrator to join the Human Resources Division as an HR Case Management Coordinator within the University of Cambridge. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop specialist experience within employee relations and case management, supporting HR Case Managers with complex and sensitive matters including disciplinaries, grievances and employment tribunals.
The Opportunity
You will provide comprehensive coordination and administrative support across a range of sensitive HR cases, working closely with HR Case Managers and colleagues across the University.
The role will involve:
- Preparing correspondence and documentation
- Maintaining accurate case records
- Organising meetings
- Taking minutes
- Coordinating training
- Supporting SAR and FOI requests
- Providing clear and accurate information to managers, employees, and Trade Union representatives
- Escalating complex matters to HR Case Managers where appropriate
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to broaden their experience in employee relations, employment law, and HR case management, while developing the specialist knowledge and skills required for potential future progression into HR Case Management roles. You will also support the promotion and administration of the University’s HR Mediation Service, contribute to continuous improvement across case management processes, and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements
- Relevant HR administrative experience, including experience using Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience dealing with general HR queries
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines
- First-class attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience taking accurate notes or minutes at meetings
- Experience coordinating meetings and maintaining databases
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion, integrity, and diplomacy
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and propose solutions
- Resilience and the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Good general education to A Level/NVQ Level 3 standard or equivalent experience
Desirable
- Associate CIPD membership or commitment to studying towards relevant CIPD membership
- Knowledge of relevant HR policies, procedures, and systems
- Experience within an employee relations or case management environment
- Knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Experience collecting, analysing, and interpreting data
