Job Purpose
To provide effective and professional HR co-ordination and administrative support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring HR processes are delivered accurately, consistently and within agreed timescales.
The HR Co-ordinator will work closely with employees, managers and the HR team, providing practical support across recruitment, onboarding, employee records, absence, performance, payroll and HR reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, probation, absence, performance and leavers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records using MHR/People First.
- Support managers with day-to-day HR queries and processes, escalating matters where appropriate.
- Co-ordinate recruitment activity, including vacancies, interviews, pre-employment checks and new starter arrangements.
- Monitor and co-ordinate probation, absence and performance review processes, ensuring key actions and documentation are completed on time.
- Provide accurate and timely information to support payroll processing.
- Produce HR reports and maintain accurate HR data.
- Co-ordinate employee engagement activities.
- Prepare HR documentation, correspondence and reports as required.
- Ensure HR processes are applied consistently and in line with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information appropriately.
- Work collaboratively with managers and the HR team to ensure an effective and responsive HR service.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems and ways of working.
- Provide general HR administrative support as required.

Person Specification
Essential
- Previous experience in an HR Administrator, HR Co-ordinator or similar HR role.
- Good understanding of HR processes and the employee lifecycle.
- Experience using an HRIS.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Professional and approachable manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience of recruitment and ATS systems.
- Experience using an HRIS, ideally MHR/People First or a similar system.
- Experience supporting payroll processes.
- Experience producing HR reports and analysing HR data.
- Experience supporting employee relations processes.
