Overview of role

This is a fixed-term contract from the start of October 2026 to April 2027. You will step into a dual-scope role: acting as Global HR Generalist and as HRBP to the Finance organisation, ensuring continuity of HR operations, systems, and stakeholder relationships during the cover period.

The ideal candidate will be able to pick up existing HR systems, budgets, and processes quickly, with minimal ramp-up, and will bring prior exposure to SME and/or technology-sector environments where HR systems, budget ownership, and process design were a core part of the role.

Key responsibilities

HR systems & process ownership:

  • Own day-to-day administration and troubleshooting of HR systems, ensuring continuity of service to the business through the cover period
  • Maintain and where useful improve existing HR processes, identifying efficiencies without disrupting business-as-usual during a transitional period
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to HR team members and end-users on HR systems functionality

Finance HRBP support:

  • Act as the primary HR point of contact for the Finance organisation, maintaining existing stakeholder relationships
  • Support Finance leadership on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning matters as they arise
  • Maintain continuity on any in-flight HR initiatives affecting the Finance function

HR programme delivery:

  • Support the delivery of existing HR programmes (engagement, performance management, wellbeing) across the cover period
  • Report on relevant HR metrics and trends to senior leadership as required

International & general HR support:

  • Support HR processes across international regions as needed, maintaining compliance with local labour law and best practice
  • Provide hands-on HR generalist support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compensation & benefits administration
  • Maintain accurate HR records in line with company policy and legal requirements

Qualifications & experience

  • Proven experience in HR generalist or HRBP roles, ideally with exposure to both SME and larger/technology-sector organisations
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g. People HR, HiBOB, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM) configuration, troubleshooting, and reporting
  • Experience owning or contributing to HR budgets, and a track record of process improvement, automation, or workflow simulation
  • Minimum Level 5 CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
  • Comfortable operating independently and picking up an existing role at pace, given the fixed-term and cover nature of the assignment
  • Fluency in English; additional languages an advantage but not essential
