HR Generalist (Maternity Cover) | London

Catalyst Partners is partnering with a leading private equity firm to appoint an HR Generalist on a maternity cover contract based in London.

This is a broad and hands-on role within a high-performing environment, offering exposure across the full employee lifecycle and the opportunity to work closely with employees, managers, and senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of day-to-day HR operations while supporting process improvement initiatives and helping to drive an exceptional employee experience.

This position would suit an organized and proactive HR professional who enjoys working across a varied remit and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, inductions, employment changes, and offboarding.
  • Act as a first point of contact for HR-related queries, providing practical support and guidance to employees and managers.
  • Prepare and maintain employment contracts, offer letters, and HR documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain employee records within the HR system and produce regular people data reporting.
  • Coordinate statutory leave processes, payroll administration, and other core HR operational activities.
  • Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing processes and employee experience.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in an HR Generalist or HR Operations role.
  • Strong understanding of employee lifecycle administration and HR best practice.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A relevant HR qualification, such as CIPD, would be advantageous.
