About The HR Consultants
We don’t mean to show off… but we’re kind of a big deal in the world of HR consultancy.
The HR Consultants is a boutique HR consultancy supporting businesses across the UK with practical, commercially focused and legally compliant people solutions. We partner with organisations that want expert HR support without the overhead of an in-house team, helping them build workplaces where people genuinely love to work.
Our services span the full employment lifecycle, including retained HR advisory, recruitment, policy development, organisational change, training, and people strategy. We pride ourselves on straightforward advice, strong relationships, and solutions that are operationally effective and commercially sensible.
Over the past five years, we’ve helped 50,000+ people have a better experience at work and supported hundreds of organisations to grow through their people, and that feels pretty great.
The Role
We’re looking for a confident, organised and people-focused HR professional to join our growing consultancy team. This is a client-facing role delivering end-to-end HR support across multiple organisations and sectors.
You’ll combine advisory work, hands-on HR administration, project delivery and recruitment support, working closely with business owners and managers to provide practical, compliant and commercial HR guidance.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You’ll Be Doing
As an HR Generalist Consultant, you’ll manage a portfolio of clients, acting as their main HR contact and providing practical, risk-aware advice on employee relations, contracts, policies, and compliance. You’ll handle HR administration tasks like onboarding, leavers, payroll data, and maintaining accurate records.
You’ll also support HR projects such as creating handbooks, reviewing policies, managing restructures, redundancies, TUPE transfers, and implementing new processes. Recruitment support is part of the role too, from posting vacancies and screening candidates to coordinating interviews and onboarding.
Above all, you’ll build strong relationships with clients, identify opportunities for additional support, and represent The HR Consultants professionally—helping businesses create workplaces their people love.
