HR Advisor / Payroll Specialist
Cheshire | UK & US Payroll | AI & Technology
HR + Payroll + AI + Technology. A little different from your usual HR role.
We’re partnering with an exciting technology business in Cheshire looking for an HR Advisor / Payroll Specialist to join its growing People team.
This is a hands-on role with UK payroll at its core, plus exposure to US payroll, HR advisory, HR systems, reward and benefits.
And if you’re someone who looks at a manual process and thinks “surely there’s a better way?” - even better 👀
What you’ll be doing
- 💰 Own UK payroll - accurate, timely and confidential
- 🇺🇸 Support US payroll - previous US payroll experience is desirable, but training can be provided
- 🤝 Provide HR advice across the employee lifecycle
- 💻 Work with HRIS, payroll systems & People data
- ⚙️ Improve processes and remove unnecessary admin
- 🤖 Explore AI & automation to make People Operations smarter
- 🎁 Support reward, benefits & wider People projects
- 🚀 Bring ideas and challenge existing ways of working

What we're looking for
You might be an:
- HR Advisor
- People Advisor
- HR Operations Specialist
- Payroll Specialist
- Payroll Advisor
- HR & Payroll Advisor
You'll ideally have:
- Strong UK payroll experience
- Solid HR / People Operations experience
- Confidence advising employees and managers
- Experience with HRIS / payroll systems
- A genuine interest in AI, automation and HR technology
- Excellent attention to detail and discretion
- US payroll experience is desirable - but not essential. Training can be provided.
