LHH is delighted to be supporting our Edinburgh-based client in the recruitment of an HR Generalist to join their People & Culture Directorate.
The People & Culture Directorate plays a vital role in supporting employees, volunteers and managers across both charities. Working in partnership with colleagues throughout the organisation, the team helps to create an inclusive, engaging and high-performing culture while ensuring the charities have the people, capability and resources needed to achieve their strategic objectives.
As HR Generalist, you will provide a comprehensive and customer-focused HR service across the full employee and volunteer lifecycle. Acting as a trusted advisor to managers and colleagues, you will support a wide range of HR activities including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, policy guidance, workforce planning and wellbeing initiatives.

- Work closely with managers to deliver practical HR advice
- Support employee relations cases
- Contribute to organisational development activities
- Help ensure that people policies and practices are applied fairly and consistently
- Support HR projects
- Maintain people data and systems
- Assist with reporting and analytics
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working across a broad range of people-related activities. You will have strong generalist HR experience, sound knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice, and the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised and solutions-focused, with excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting people and helping organisations thrive. Experience within the charity, public or not-for-profit sector would be advantageous, although not essential.
