What will you be doing?

  • Managing an ER caseload, providing practical advice and guidance to People Managers and keeping the Head of HR updated on key cases.
  • Managing absence in line with business targets, including working closely with Occupational Health on long-term absence.
  • Leading disciplinary and grievance investigations and hearings, as well as supporting Performance Improvement Plans.
  • Providing advice on HR policies and employment legislation and ensuring policies remain up to date.
  • Leading HR meetings including probation reviews, flexible working requests and maternity meetings.
  • Supporting employee engagement initiatives and employee surveys, turning feedback into practical action plans.
  • Supporting HR audit and compliance activity, including ethical and customer-related audits.
  • Supporting payroll processes and benefits administration.
  • Working alongside recruitment agencies and supporting advertising, interview coordination, offer administration and right-to-work checks.
  • Acting as a super user for the HR system and supporting the wider HR team when required.
  • Contributing to HR strategy, business objectives and wider culture initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
