We look to achieve this by ensuring our 1,400 people join us on our journey towards excellence both in the view of Ofsted and as judged by performance outcomes, enrichment opportunities and the day- to-day experiences of students as learners and of our staff.

Due to the continued growth of North East Learning Trust, we are expanding our HR Manager team. We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced and professionally credible HR Manager to join the Director of HR and the HR team in delivering a responsive, high-quality and continually improving HR service across the Trust.

Each HR Manager is the named HR lead for a portfolio of schools. You will build trusted relationships with Headteachers and senior leaders, develop a strong understanding of your schools and provide practical, legally compliant advice and support.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is a broad HR generalist role in which complex employee relations and case management will form the largest part of the workload, particularly during school term time. You will manage a varied caseload including attendance, capability, disciplinary, grievance, safeguarding-related employment matters and organisational change, applying sound judgement and helping leaders reach fair, timely and sustainable outcomes.

The pattern of work changes during school holiday periods, when term-time colleagues are generally not working and case activity is usually lower. These periods provide space to respond to essential queries, prepare for forthcoming cases and priorities, and progress policy, systems, data and service-improvement work. You will therefore have genuine opportunities to lead proactive and strategic projects, including embedding iTrent, developing workforce analytics, improving recruitment and employee lifecycle processes, and building HR knowledge and confidence within schools.
