Workday HRIS Support Consultant

Contract: Initial 6 months - Up to 2 years work

Location: Central London - Predominantly Remote, 1-2 days per week in the office

Day Rate: Negotiable

The Opportunity

We are working with an established international organisation seeking an experienced Workday HRIS Support Consultant to provide hands-on functional support during a period of business and technology transformation.

The organisation operates across multiple countries and requires a proactive, knowledgeable Workday professional who can take ownership of day-to-day support requests, resolve issues efficiently and build strong relationships with HR stakeholders.

This is an operational, hands-on position rather than a large-scale implementation role. We are looking for someone who understands Workday, enjoys problem-solving and can work independently to deliver a responsive, high-quality service.

You will work closely with HR and Technology teams, alongside an external Workday support partner responsible for more complex technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Functional Support

  • Provide first-line functional support across Workday, managing tickets, user requests and operational queries.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve Workday issues independently.
  • Support organisational structure changes, employee movements and reporting-line updates.
  • Manage reporting requests, employee data extracts and data-related queries.
  • Support absence management queries, including country-specific processes and requirements.
  • Prioritise requests effectively and ensure issues are progressed through to resolution.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a trusted point of contact for HR stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with HR Operations and Technology teams.
  • Understand business requirements and translate them into practical Workday solutions.
  • Provide clear communication and regular updates on outstanding requests.
  • Take ownership of issues and ensure stakeholders receive a professional, responsive service.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who combines strong practical Workday knowledge with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

You will be comfortable handling day-to-day support requests, working independently and taking responsibility for ensuring issues are resolved.

This position would suit an experienced Workday HRIS Analyst or Support Consultant who enjoys being hands-on and making a tangible difference to the experience of HR users.

Above all, we need someone who is proactive, dependable, approachable and capable of building trust with stakeholders.

Contract Details & Future Programme

This is an initial six-month contract offering predominantly remote working, with occasional travel to the London office for meetings and stakeholder engagement.

The organisation is currently undertaking a wider HR technology transformation, with plans to migrate from Workday to a new HRIS platform over the next two to three years.

With this transformation already underway, there is an ongoing requirement to maintain and support the existing Workday environment while the new platform is developed and implemented.

This presents an excellent opportunity to join a business during a significant period of change, providing continuity and support to HR stakeholders while contributing to the wider evolution of its HR technology landscape.

The organisation is looking to move quickly and would welcome applications from consultants available immediately or at short notice.
