4 days in the office per week
We are partnering with a highly regarded, family-backed investment business to appoint an experienced HR Manager.
This is not a traditional HR Business Partner position. Working across a diverse portfolio of wholly owned businesses—including housebuilding, hospitality, and consumer operations—you will advise existing management and HR teams on complex employee relations, policy development, and reward.
Reporting to an experienced Senior HR Lead, your initial priorities will include:
- Advising on complex and contentious employee relations matters
- Developing employee handbooks and a coherent suite of core HR policies
- Helping individual businesses tailor group principles to their workforces
- Conducting remuneration benchmarking within the housebuilding sector
- Reviewing STIP and LTIP arrangements using historical and market data
- Providing practical guidance on reward and benefits
- Using HR data and metrics to make clear recommendations to senior stakeholders

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
