HR Manager Vacancy, Rochester

Permanent, Full time

Office based 5 days

£50,000-£60,000

HR Recruit is excited to be partnering with a fast-growing organisation looking to recruit their first standalone HR Manager. Reporting into the Interim MD, this is a fantastic opportunity to shape the HR function as the business expands. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, managers, and colleagues across the business to deliver effective HR processes and ensure compliance with UK employment legislation.

Role Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries, providing clear, timely HR advice and support.
  • Partner with line managers to develop effective people leadership, offering guidance, coaching, and support on employee matters.
  • Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, interviewing, onboarding, and issuing employment contracts.
  • Manage employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary, grievance, and performance matters, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, right-to-work requirements, employment contracts, HR policies, and internal audits.
  • Develop, maintain, and update HR policies, procedures, and processes across all business entities.
  • Provide training and development initiatives to enhance employee capability and support organisational growth.
  • Drive employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Support payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely HR data.
  • Prepare HR reports, monitor key people metrics, and provide insights and recommendations to management.
  • Advise senior leaders on HR best practice, organisational development, and changes in employment legislation.

Person Specification

  • Hands-on with a can-do attitude
  • Proven experience as a HR professional
  • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience managing employee relations cases end-to-end
  • Experience implementing and updating HR policies and processes
  • Standalone experience would be a benefit

In return you will receive a salary between £50,000-£60,000. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor looking for their next role or an HR Manager.

The salary banding advertised is a guideline, the remuneration offered will be commensurate upon experience.
