Role Description
The Human Resources Manager is a contract, on-site role based in Cwmbrân, responsible for overseeing HR operations and providing strategic and operational support to leadership and employees. This role manages end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes, ensuring effective workforce planning to meet business needs. The Human Resources Manager handles employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary and grievance procedures in line with company policies and employment legislation.

Daily activities include:

- Advising managers on HR best practices
- Updating and implementing HR policies
- Maintaining accurate HR records
- Supporting learning and development initiatives
The role also involves:
- Collaborating with senior management on organizational change
- Supporting engagement and retention initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety and legal requirements
Qualifications
- Strong HR operations skills, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Knowledge of UK employment law, HR policies, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with HR systems and data management, including reporting, documentation, and confidentiality practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in manufacturing, food production, or a similar industry is beneficial.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent HR certification, or relevant degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
