Human Resources Manager

Location: Crosby Composites

Department: Human Resources

Reports to: Finance Director

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to lead our HR function within a fast-paced composite manufacturing environment. This is a varied role where you'll work closely with managers and senior leadership to support our people, ensure legal compliance, and drive employee engagement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding.
  • Provide expert HR advice and support on employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management.
  • Oversee monthly payroll processes and employee benefits.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures and personnel records.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives, appraisals and wellbeing activities.
  • Produce monthly HR reports and KPIs for senior management.
  • Coordinate training and development activities.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with employment legislation and GDPR.
  • Work closely with managers to promote a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

About You

You'll be an organised, approachable HR professional who enjoys building strong working relationships and supporting both employees and managers.

You'll ideally have:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience in a generalist HR Manager role is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Experience managing employee relations cases.
  • Payroll administration experience.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience within manufacturing or engineering is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in using a clocking system, excel, word and powerpoint.
