Human Resources Manager – People, Culture & Talent Manager
Location: Derry

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Manager to lead our People, Culture and Talent Acquisition agenda across a group of hotels in the North West of Ireland.
Covering our properties in the North West, this is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who wants to make a real impact across a growing hospitality business.
You will work closely with the Group Leadership Team, General Managers and Department Heads to create a positive employee experience, attract and retain great people, develop future talent and build a strong, engaging workplace culture.
This is a hands-on, visible and strategic role. We are looking for someone who enjoys being close to the operation, building relationships with colleagues and managers, and turning good people practices into tangible business results.
What You Will Do
People & Culture
- Lead and develop the Group's People & Culture strategy.
- Build an engaging, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture.
- Act as a trusted HR partner to General Managers and Senior leaders.
- Drive employee engagement, recognition, wellbeing and retention initiatives.
- Champion the Group's values and employee experience.
- Maintain a visible HR presence across all three hotels.
- Develop effective communication and engagement initiatives for colleagues.
Talent Acquisition
- Lead the Group's Talent Acquisition and recruitment strategy.
- Attract and recruit high-quality hospitality talent across the North West.
- Manage recruitment from workforce planning through to selection, offer and onboarding.
- Develop strong talent pipelines for operational and management positions.
- Build relationships with schools, colleges, universities and hospitality training providers.
- Develop our employer brand and position the Group as an employer of choice in the North West.
- Introduce creative recruitment campaigns, employee referral initiatives and digital recruitment activity.
- Support international recruitment and employment permit processes where appropriate.

Employee Relations & HR Support
- Provide professional and practical HR advice to managers and employees.
- Support and manage employee relations matters including performance, attendance, conduct, grievances and disciplinary processes.
- Coach managers to confidently handle people matters.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and fairly.
- Keep the business up to date with employment legislation and HR best practice.
Learning, Development & Talent
- Develop and implement Group-wide Learning & Development programmes.
- Strengthen induction, onboarding and employee development.
- Support career progression, internal promotion and succession planning.
- Identify and develop high-potential employees.
- Build management and leadership capability across the hotels.
- Support effective performance management and development conversations.
Workforce Planning & HR Operations
- Partner with the leadership teams on workforce planning and organisational development.
- Monitor employee turnover, absence, recruitment and engagement trends.
- Develop initiatives to improve retention and reduce avoidable turnover.
- Ensure HR processes and practices comply with all employment legislation.
- Work closely with Finance/Payroll on payroll and employee administration.
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR records.
- Oversee contracts, probation reviews and core HR documentation.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who combines strong HR expertise with genuine passion for people and hospitality.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience in a senior HR role, preferably within hospitality, hotels, tourism, retail or another high-volume environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation.
- Experience managing recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Strong employee relations and management advisory experience.
- Experience in employee engagement, learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- The confidence to coach and influence managers at all levels.
- A practical, commercial and solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to work across multiple locations and manage competing priorities.
- A genuine passion for developing people and creating great places to work.
- Flexibility to travel between our North West properties.
