Mission
The Human Resources Manager oversees all aspects of HR operations and processes and is responsible for the implementation and success of HR policies and initiatives. Whilst interacting closely with all employees across all departments, the HR Manager works in partnership with the Managing Director, and the Finance Director to shape, develop and deliver HR solutions in line with the needs and priorities of the business. Operating as the departmental HR expert, he/she advises, guides, and supports employees and managers while being the go-to person for all employee-related issues.
Main Responsibilities
- In a standalone role, manage the day-to-day Human Resources operations within the company.
- Administer and support the process of recruitment, including writing job descriptions, advertising vacancies, selecting candidates, working with external agencies, and interviewing.
- Preparation of employment contracts (offers, promotions, addendums, …)
- In charge of onboarding/offboarding and new starter inductions (including system enrolment, training, and general guidance)
- Administer payroll and payroll records in collaboration with the Finance Director
- Adapt HR policies and procedures (e.g. company handbook, code of conduct, etc.) to mitigate disputes, in line with current legislation
- Ensure compliance with company standards and legal framework throughout Human Resources management (e.g. GDPR)
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing HR matters including absences/attendance, performance issues, grievances, disciplinaries, or other issues and provide guidance and daily support to internal teams on HR matters.
- To be the subsidiaries’ main contact and key user of the HR Management system
- Manage the company’s HR database in compliance GDPR regulations.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance and supports retention.
- Support the Finance Director and Managing Director in strategic decisions by preparing analysis and reports, as well as responding to inquiries as and when required (e.g. annual strategy presentation)

Other responsibilities
- Project Management for new systems implementation (e.g. Cornerstone)
- Key user for Home Office Sponsor License system
- Keep abreast of modern HR procedures and best practice.
- Propose staff wellness initiatives and employer benefits & Rewards.
- Manage staff purchase requests.
- Point of contact for Corporate Social Responsibility matters (e.g. Responsible Jewellery Council Audit)
- Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed, and deficiencies identified and addressed.
- Monthly Newsletter Management: Create, curate, and distribute the monthly newsletter, ensuring timely delivery and engaging content.
- Provide regular trainings to retail staff (e.g. on security, POS, systems, collections etc.) and ensure new joiners are onboarded and accompanied upon joining the company
- Provide support to the HR function by conducting interviews, establishing performance management process, managing grievances, and preparing HR reports for the Head of Finance
- Organize regular trainings for HO staff (e.g. on Fire Security, First Aid, Money Laundering, Security Control)

Required Qualifications
- Proven HR generalist capable of being in a standalone role, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Full understanding of all HR functions and experience with HR metrics
- Solid experience in HR payroll admin is an advantage
- Good knowledge of UK employment legislation
- Degree in Human Resources or related field is an advantage
Required Skills
- Experience working in luxury goods or luxury services is essential
- Organisational, project management, and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
- Ability to work cross-departmental
- Proactive team player spirit with strong problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy or as part of a team
- People oriented, analytical and results driven
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and to act with discretion
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Ability to prioritise ad-hoc or unexpected demands
- Commercial and business awareness
- Understanding of data privacy standards (GDPR)
- IT Skills: Microsoft Office 365
The role will be based at the London Headquarters in Marylebone and has the flexibility to be a 5 day or 4 day working week for the right candidate.
