Antal International / Parkside Recruitment
HR Manager for a Series A Start-Up based in the City, London
As we scale, we’re looking for an HR Manager to build and lead the people function from the ground up. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys operating in a fast-paced environment, partnering closely with leadership, and creating the people, culture, and processes that enable a high-performing team to thrive.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape how we hire, develop, support, and retain our people — while helping build the foundations of an ambitious fintech business.
The Role
As our HR Manager, you’ll own the full HR function and act as a trusted partner to the leadership team.
You’ll balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution — from recruitment and onboarding through performance management, employee relations, policies, engagement, and people development.
This is an ideal role for an HR professional who wants significant ownership and enjoys building things rather than simply maintaining established processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
