HR Manager (12-month FTC)

This is a standalone 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) HR Manager role delivering operational HR support to the Industrial Group across the UK, France and Spain. While backed by the UK Shared Service Team and Centres of Excellence, you will own the day-to-day HR function independently.

Based on-site in Tewkesbury, you will play a central role guiding leaders through a major global reorganisation — shaping change initiatives and delivering clear, consistent communication across the business. Join us at a pivotal time: you will enjoy real autonomy, broad international scope, and visible impact across three countries, as a key member of the UK HR team helping shape our culture and drive continuous improvement.

As we celebrate 75 years of success, we’re proud of the people behind it. Our long-serving employees reflect a supportive culture and genuine long-term career opportunities. We invest in people for the future. As a generational company, we build careers that last decades, with a vision to welcome not only you, but future generations of your family.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as first point of contact for all people-related matters across the full employee lifecycle — onboarding, policy guidance, performance management, employee relations, and exit processes.
  • Advise, coach and support managers at all levels on HR policy, employment legislation, best practice, and employee relations — including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, redundancy and retirement processes.
  • Lead through change — support leaders and teams through global reorganisation, ensuring clear communication and smooth transitions.
  • Partner with HR colleagues in France and Spain, working alongside local HR teams and external advisers to ensure compliance with local employment legislation.
  • Own HR systems (Workday & Autotime) as a super-user — ensuring data accuracy, approving employee lifecycle events, resolving queries, and supporting technology improvements.
  • Manage absence reporting and Occupational Health provision, liaising with EH&S, managers and employees to support wellbeing, reasonable adjustments, and return-to-work outcomes.
  • Deliver management reporting, maintain data integrity, and support audits including BSi, HMRC, Home Office and right-to-work compliance.
  • Contribute to wider HR initiatives — including delivery of our People & Culture strategy, follow-up on Employee Survey actions (September 2026), pay reviews, reward, and recognition.
  • Represent IG Tewkesbury at site and UK HR meetings, ensuring alignment across Commercial Aircraft, Military Aircraft and Industrial Group policies and practices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
