HR Manager
Salary: £60,000–£70,000 DOE
Location: Worcestershire
Working pattern: Full-time onsite. There is no hybrid flexibility, although some flexibility around working hours may be considered for the right candidate.
I’m recruiting an HR Manager for a growing manufacturing business based in Worcestershire.
Reporting into the Group HR Director, this is a broad generalist role with responsibility for leading the site HR team and taking ownership of the day-to-day HR function, including employee relations, absence and sickness management, recruitment and the wider transactional workload.
Alongside the operational responsibilities, there is a significant opportunity to deliver HR projects and improvements across systems, processes, culture and the wider people agenda.

This is a unionised manufacturing environment with a diverse range of processes and a sizeable operational workforce, so stakeholder management and credibility on the shop floor are key.
This isn’t an HR role that will be delivered from behind a desk. You’ll spend a good proportion of your time out within the operation, engaging with employees and managers, understanding what is happening at ground level and identifying where HR can make a practical difference.
I’m looking for a strong HR generalist with experience working within manufacturing or a comparable blue-collar environment such as logistics, warehousing or industrial operations. You’ll need to be comfortable managing complex ER matters, working with operational leaders and engaging effectively with employees at every level.

This should particularly appeal to someone who sees opportunities for change and improvement and wants the ownership to deliver them. There is scope to make an impact through better day-to-day HR delivery, while also contributing to systems, culture and wider strategic initiatives alongside the Group HR Director.
