At ETAC, we are committed to powering projects of industry across North America. Our core business is to supply electrical transformers and related equipment into the Utility, Manufacturing, Construction, Mining, and Data Center industries.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to oversee and support all aspects of human resources at ETAC. This role will be responsible for recruitment, employee relations, HR policies and procedures, performance management, compliance, and the ongoing development of our workplace culture.

The ideal candidate will be organized, approachable, and capable of working closely with management and employees to support the company’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment and onboarding process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, offers, and new employee orientation.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Support management and employees with HR-related questions and workplace matters.
  • Manage employee relations and assist with conflict resolution when required.
  • Coordinate performance reviews and support employee development initiatives.
  • Monitor attendance, vacation, leave, and other employee records.
  • Ensure company policies and practices comply with applicable Manitoba employment legislation and regulations.
  • Coordinate employee benefits and support payroll-related HR administration.
  • Support workplace health and safety initiatives and requirements.
  • Assist management with workforce planning and organizational development.
  • Promote a positive, professional, and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Perform other HR and administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in human resources, preferably in an HR Generalist or HR Management role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment standards and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with management and employees.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • CPHR designation or progress toward a CPHR designation is an asset.
  • Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or technical environment is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting at $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
