About the Role
We are incredibly excited to be recruiting a brand new role for our National Manufacturing company, who has a huge presence across not only UK but Worldwide. Due to a huge increase in staffing and business, they now require a HR manager - North, to be an onsite presence and support the business across two large sites.
Responsibilities
The Site HR Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of a professional, proactive and commercially focussed HR service across sites in Burnley and Speke. The role supports the achievement of the business objectives through effective people management, employee relations, workforce planning, talent development, organisational change, employee engagement and compliance with UK employment legislation. This role will work closely with site leadership teams to develop and implement people strategies that drive operational performance, productivity, safety, quality and employee well-being. Ensuring the delivery of high-quality HR services, supporting and promoting best practices in HR management. To assist and work with the Human Resource Team in the continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and processes in line with the Integrated Management System.

Requirements
Applicants must have a excellent working knowledge of Human Resource policy, best practices, and processes in line with Employment Law & primary codes of practice.
Essential:
- CIPD Level 5 Qualification, working towards CIPD Level 7, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Senior HR Advisor role.
- Strong background in handling complex employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance and performance management.
- Proven track record of coaching and mentoring managers to improve their people management skills.
- Significant experience within manufacturing, engineering, logistics or industrial environments.
- Adherence to company management systems, policies and procedures already implemented within the business.
- In-depth knowledge of Employment Law legislations, best practices and policies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at all organisational levels.
- Sound verbal and written communication skills including note taking.
- Organisation and time management skills.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office to a high standard.
- Full, clean, valid driving licence to enable travel to multiple sites as and when required.
- GCSE grade 3 or equivalent in English and Maths is essential. To be able to structure and write formal letters, emails and reports. Must be at a good level of Maths to be able to understand spreadsheets, and to monitor absence levels and hours worked and shift allowances. Good note-taking skills to provide support in meetings.

Desirable:
- Experience in leading HR Projects or initiatives would be beneficial.
- Additional qualifications or training in HR Management or employment law would be beneficial.
- Certificate in mediation.
Compensation and Hours
Salary will be negotiable based on experience, knowledge, and ability. Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, 0830-1700 Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch. This is an office-based role.
