Company Description

Green Leaf Engineering (GLE) is a renewable energy contractor specialising in the decarbonisation of commercial properties across the UK. The company supports clients through the full lifecycle of their carbon reduction journey, from feasibility studies and design to project management, delivery, and commissioning. GLE provides turnkey solutions using technologies such as Solar PV, Solar canopies, Battery storage, Air/Ground Source Heat Pumps, and EV infrastructure. Its management team combines traditional MEP project managers with specialist design engineers, all with extensive industry experience. This integrated approach aims to maximise carbon reduction outcomes for clients while maintaining high-quality standards.

Role Description

The Human Resources Officer | Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Gateshead. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day HR activities, including supporting employee relations, administering HR policies and procedures, coordinating recruitment processes, and maintaining accurate employee records. The role also oversees office administration. The Human Resources Officer | Administrator will collaborate closely with leadership and project teams to ensure the office runs efficiently and HR practices support the company’s renewable energy focus. This role requires a proactive, organised individual who can balance HR responsibilities with general office management.

  • Demonstrated experience in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, including day-to-day HR operations.
  • Knowledge of HR Policies and compliance, with the ability to implement and maintain consistent practices.
  • Experience in Employee Relations, including supporting managers and team members with HR-related matters.
  • Ability to develop and maintain clear Job Descriptions aligned with organisational needs.
  • Strong organisational and administration skills, including coordination of administrative tasks and record-keeping.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, and general office software.
  • Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
