Job Title: HR Operations Manager
Salary: £55,000–£65,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance
Location: North London
Hybrid: Yes (3 days office/2 days home)
We’re looking for a HR Operations Manager to join an established organisation and play a key role in delivering an efficient, accurate and customer-focused HR service. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys combining people management, operational HR and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day delivery of HR Operations and employee lifecycle processes
- Leading, coaching and developing members of the HR Operations team
- Ensuring HR transactions are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed SLAs
- Overseeing accurate monthly HR data and instructions provided to Payroll
- Acting as an escalation point for complex operational HR queries
- Maintaining high standards of HR data quality, governance and compliance
- Supporting key processes including onboarding, Right to Work and other compliance requirements
- Identifying opportunities to simplify, improve and automate HR processes
- Supporting HR systems enhancements and wider HR projects
- Monitoring service levels and operational performance, driving improvements where required
- Building strong relationships with HR Business Partners, Payroll, IT and other internal stakeholders
- Supporting audits and quality reviews to ensure policies and processes are applied consistently

About You
We’re looking for someone with experience working within a busy HR Operations or HR Shared Services who is comfortable managing both people and processes.
- Experience across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, absence, family leave, reward processes and leavers
- Previous experience supervising, managing or developing a HR team
- Strong HR systems experience and confidence working with HR data
- A good understanding of HR processes, governance and controls
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- A continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in technology and automation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment
- CIPD qualification, or equivalent experience, would be advantageous
