HAIL Partners is working with a Global Alternative Asset Manager who are seeking an HR Associate Director to join their London team.
The role covers a population of around 100 employees. It's a hands-on HR operations role focused on payroll, benefits and employee lifecycle, with a visible, business-facing element and long-term scope.
Responsibilities:
- Running full HR operations for the international employee population, including first-line HR queries and drafting contracts
- Managing the monthly payroll cycle across multiple outsourced regional providers: gathering inputs, instructing, checking and resolving queries, including more complex payroll matters
- Overseeing benefits across regional providers, managing broker relationships and the renewal process, and driving improvements
- Supporting the year-end compensation process
- Supporting recruitment, bringing sound judgement on candidate fit (no direct sourcing)
- Managing visas and internal transfers with immigration lawyers
- Supporting onboarding and delivering HR inductions
- Building relationships across the business through regular catch-ups

Role Requirements:
- 5+ years' HR experience within financial services (private markets preferred)
- A strong HR operations background, with clear ownership of operational processes
- Experience overseeing payroll and benefits
- Visa and immigration experience
- Excellent at juggling competing priorities, with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
- Confidence and gravitas to question things in the right way, with strong accountability and proactive communication

The role offers a competitive base salary plus a discretionary bonus, alongside multiple attractive company benefits. They offer a hybrid working pattern of 3/2.
