Job Overview
We have a fantastic new role within our growing People Team, reporting to the Group People Partner Lead and playing a key part in developing the direction of “People” related strategies and initiatives. The role will partner with leaders and have the support of the wider People Team to translate business strategy into people and organisational priorities. Focussed on leading on employment relations issues across the group, building workforce capability, strengthening leadership, driving organisational effectiveness, and supporting change to improve business performance. Using a collaborative, data-driven and commercially focused approach, the successful BP will help deliver strategic “People” solutions that enhance talent, culture, and organisational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- With the support of the Group People Partner lead, work with local leaders to understand the business goals, market dynamics, operational priorities, and financial drivers.
- Working with the wider People Team to translate business strategy to influence the creation of integrated people and organisational plans.
- Provide credible and sometimes pragmatic advice on all ER Issues, workforce planning, leadership capability and organisational effectiveness.
- Participate in planning discussions and contribute to decision-making.
- Identify workforce risks and opportunities impacting business performance.
- Assess and strengthen organisational capability to support future business strategy.
- Advise local leaders on organisation design, role clarity, governance, operating models, and team effectiveness.
- With the support of the wider People Team, Drive initiatives that improve organisational agility, collaboration, innovation, and performance.
- Diagnose organisational issues using data, stakeholder insights, and performance indicators.
- With the support of the wider People team create talent management practices including succession planning, talent reviews, and high-potential development.
- Support leaders in developing, engaging, and retaining critical talent.
- Build leadership capability through coaching, feedback, and development interventions.
- Partner with the wider people team and Airedale academy to implement learning and career development strategies.
- Champion organisational culture aligned with business values and strategic objectives.
- Lead and support enterprise and business-unit change initiatives.
- Facilitate change readiness, stakeholder engagement, and adoption planning.
- Enhance employee experience through listening strategies, engagement interventions, and culture diagnostics.
- Support inclusion, wellbeing, and positive employee relations practices.
- Use workforce analytics and business metrics to inform recommendations and measure impact.
- Analyse trends related to turnover, engagement, performance, capability gaps, diversity, and productivity for your area of responsibility.
- Develop actionable insights and dashboards for business leaders.
- Contribute to the development of evidence-based HR practices to improve business and talent outcomes.
- Ensure people practices comply with employment legislation, policy, ethical standards, and organisational requirements.
- Manage employee relations matters, performance issues, and workplace concerns in partnership with local leaders.
- Mitigate people-related risk and support sound governance practices.
- Ensure employee records are maintained accurately within the HRIS (PXD).

Experience Required
- Experience within a similar People Partnering position.
- Extensive knowledge of UK Employment legislation, and statutory compliance.
- Knowledge of HR Information systems. Especially PXD.
- Experience managing complex ER Cases.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficient IT skills, especially using Excel, Word and other MS Office applications.
- Proven ability to collaborate and manage change effectively.
- Experience driving process improvements and operational transformation.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to contribute strategically.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strategic and forward-thinking mindset.
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong governance focus.
- Collaborative and influential style.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
- CIPD qualification (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) equivalent experience.
- Experience using HRIS, especially Access People XD.
Desirable
- Master’s degree in human resources, Business, or related discipline.
- MCIPD qualification (Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development).
- SME-level knowledge and experience of Access People XD software would be advantageous.
