About us:
The Human Resources (HR) team is responsible for ensuring compliance with policy and legislation, employee relations, reward, managing headcount, skills and competencies, early career intakes and development.
Within Portsmouth we support the business that develop, analyse and build satellites as well as the teams that ensure secure communications globally. We have HR support across the UK as well as globally and you will be part of this professional team.

What you will be doing:
You will be a key part of the HR team and have the unique opportunity to get involved in and spend time with each of the HR departments. Key duties will include:
- Supporting HRBPs in their business areas
- Supporting any disciplinaries and grievances
- Supporting inductions
- Check right to work eligibility
- Helping with contracts and promotions
- Running reports
- Getting involved in HR projects
- Setting up site meetings
- Getting involved in Early Career assessment, recruitment and development
Requirements:
Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.
Your application should include a CV along with a Cover Letter outlining your motivation and suitability for the role.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Currently studying towards a degree in Human Resources, Business or related subjects
- Be happy to speak and liaise with people at different levels
- Able to complete note-taking with accuracy
- Have an interest in HR
This Job Request will be allocated to the projected Joint-Venture scope towards a leading European player in space.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
