Company Description

TLS Social Care is a privately owned care provider based in West Yorkshire, United Kingdom, delivering support to adults over 18 with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, dementia, and physical disabilities. The organization offers a wide range of person-centered services, including personal care, outreach support, sitting and befriending services, and respite care. TLS Social Care is committed to promoting individuals’ strengths, respect, dignity, choice, and human rights in every aspect of care. Support can include meaningful activities in the community, help with managing the home environment, domestic tasks, shopping, and attending appointments. Services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through a trained staff team and a standard on-call system.

The role involves advising managers and team members on HR procedures, employee relations, and performance management, as well as coordinating employee benefits, training, and development initiatives. The Human Resources Specialist will collaborate closely with care management teams to align HR practices with TLS Social Care’s person-centered values and operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with the ability to support end-to-end employee lifecycle processes.
  • Knowledge of HR Policies and Employee Benefits, including the ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations and organizational guidelines.
  • Experience in Personnel Management, including employee relations, performance management, and record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain high standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills, with proficiency in HRIS and common office software tools.
  • Understanding of or interest in the social care sector and person-centered approaches is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant HR qualification or certification (e.g., CIPD or equivalent) and prior experience in an HR role are desirable.
