Are you passionate about advancing human tissue biology and making a strategic impact in immunology research? We are recruiting an Immunology Research Lead to join a leading Pharmaceutical company in the Berkshire/Surrey area. This is a dual leadership position combining end-to-end leadership of a Human Tissue Biology / Pathobiology function and strategic Project and Research Leadership across the Immunology portfolio.
This role is positioned at an Associate Director level.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Your duties as the Immunology Research Lead will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- As the Immunology Research Lead, you will lead the Human Tissue Pathobiology function, driving scientific vision, strategy, and delivery.
- As the Immunology Research Lead, you will develop and maintain disease-relevant human tissue models and functional assays.
- As the Immunology Research Lead, you will act as Strategic Research Lead for a disease area or portfolio segment, defining and evolving scientific strategy.
- As the Immunology Research Lead, you will integrate human biology insights into program strategy, including target validation and biomarker approaches.

Role Requirements:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Human Tissue Biology Functional Lead & Strategic Research Lead, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in translational research, human tissue biology, or related fields. This role is positioned at an Associate Director level.
- Proven ability to lead complex programs and deliver against key milestones.
