HV Commissioning Engineer - Contract
Up to £800 per day
UK Wide | HV Power | 11kV-132kV
Experienced HV Commissioner?
We're looking for an experienced HV Commissioning Engineer for ongoing project work across the UK.
You'll be working on major HV infrastructure projects, with a significant proportion of the current workload supporting renewable energy and data centre developments.
This is hands-on commissioning work across systems from 11kV through to 132kV.
You'll be working across:
- Primary and secondary testing
- Protection relay testing and configuration
- Secondary injection testing
- Transformers and HV switchgear
- CTs and VTs
- SCADA and control systems
- G99/G59 testing
- Fault finding
- Energisation and handover
- Commissioning documentation

We're looking for:
- Experienced HV Commissioning Engineers
- Strong hands-on commissioning experience at 11kV+
- Protection relay and secondary injection experience
- Omicron/Megger or similar test equipment experience
- DNO, ICP, IDNO or private network experience
- Ability to work independently on site
- SAP status or experience working under an SAP
- Experience at 132kV would be particularly attractive, although strong engineers operating at lower HV levels will also be considered.

The important bit
This is UK-wide project work and will regularly involve staying away during the week.
You can therefore be based virtually anywhere in the UK, provided you're happy travelling to wherever the project is.
Rate: up to £800/day depending on experience.
