HVAC Commissioning Engineer – Join Our Team at FläktGroup UK

📍 West Midlands, UK | 🏢 Field Based

We are looking for a skilled HVAC Commissioning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for commissioning, servicing, and maintaining Air Handling Units, Close Control Units, and associated equipment in line with company standards and industry best practices.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commissioning engineer looking to broaden their expertise across a diverse HVAC product portfolio. We will provide training and support on additional product ranges where required, helping you develop into a highly versatile and in-demand commissioning specialist.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Attend client sites as directed to perform technical and engineering tasks within your skillset, ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
  • Commission plant and equipment as per site contracts agreements.
  • Prepare on-site risk assessments to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Identify and report opportunities to provide additional or alternative services that add value for the client.
  • Support local sales efforts by submitting leads to the sales team.
  • Participate in meetings, briefings, and training sessions as part of ongoing professional development.

What You'll Need

  • Proven experience in HVAC commissioning, fault-finding, and system optimisation.
  • A strong technical foundation with the ability and willingness to work across a broad range of HVAC products, including chillers, close control units (CCUs), CRAC units, 4-pipe air source heat pump systems, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units, and associated controls.
  • A proactive attitude and aptitude for learning new technologies and product ranges, with a desire to develop into a multi-skilled Commissioning Engineer.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Enhanced DBS clearance, or willingness to obtain one, to support work in environments such as schools and hospitals.
  • F-Gas, City & Guilds 2079, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent HVAC qualification (desirable).
  • Electrical qualifications and experience (advantageous).
  • Comfortable working at height and within confined spaces.
