Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site HVAC Pre Contracts manager role based in Tewkesbury. The role involves leading the pre-contracts design process for HVAC and associated plumbing systems, including developing technical designs, specifications, and cost estimates for tenders and proposals. The person in this role will review client requirements, carry out design calculations, coordinate with internal engineering and project teams, and liaise with suppliers to ensure accurate pricing and technical compliance.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Preparing bid documentation
- Supporting sales with technical input
- Attending client meetings
- Ensuring designs meet industry standards, regulations, and client expectations
The role also includes contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and supporting the handover of successful projects to delivery teams.
Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge in HVAC and plumbing systems, with experience in design, specification, and pre-contracts activities.
- Skills in customer service and customer satisfaction, with the ability to understand client needs and provide clear, professional communication.
- Experience supporting sales processes, including preparing technical proposals, cost estimates, and responding to tenders.
- Background in construction or building services, ideally within mechanical or environmental engineering disciplines.
- Proficiency with relevant design tools and software (e.g., CAD, HVAC calculation tools) and familiarity with UK building regulations and standards.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and to coordinate effectively between design, project, and commercial functions.
- Relevant technical qualification in mechanical engineering, building services, or a related field; professional accreditation or chartership is an advantage.
