Technical Advisor for Kingspan Technical Insulation
You will be based at our Basildon site in Essex, working 39 hours per week Monday - Friday.
As the HVAC Technical Advisor you will be responsible for providing technical advice to customers, as well as to both internal and external Kingspan employees.
Responsibilities Of Our Technical Advisor
- Responds to all requests for technical advice received, via various media (telephone/ email).
- Ensures best practice advice is given at all times, in line with industry and company guidelines.
- Produce heat transfer and associated calculations, for pipework and ductwork insulation according to industry standards. Providing a further understanding of the calculations standards and methods to customers.
- On occasions, attend customer meetings with Area Sales Managers / Business Development Managers.
- Is aware of, and pays attention to, Key Performance Indicators.
- Contribute to the development of technical solutions by sharing information and reporting issues to the Line Manager.
- Contribute to product testing, certifications and the review of product literature.

What we are looking for in our HVAC Technical Advisor:
You will have:
- A strong aptitude for mathematics, science, and technical problem-solving.
- The ability to interpret technical specifications and product data.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A basic understanding of building services and construction practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills, with an ability to set and adhere to customer service goals.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- IT proficient, with a technical bias.
- Excellent time management skills, being highly efficient and well organised.
- High attention to detail at all times.
- Demonstrates the ability to interpret and apply mathematical formulas relevant to HVAC industry calculations.
