Overview
Rydon Maintenance Ltd in Bristol is expanding! We're looking for a skilled HVAC/Mechanical Engineer to join our specialist Facilities Maintenance team, supporting a critical NHS estate.
This is a brand-new role within the team, giving you the opportunity to make a real impact from day one. You’ll play a vital part in keeping essential infrastructure running safely and efficiently, delivering both planned preventative maintenance and responsive reactive repairs across the estate.

What we do
Rydon Maintenance Ltd provides a range of hard facilities management and property maintenance services in partnership with a range of NHS Trusts. We provide reactive and planned maintenance to a number of NHS buildings and we work to strict timescales and safety requirements to ensure the comfort and safety of service users using these NHS facilities. With offices in the South East, to Bristol in the South West our experience has taken us across a variety of sensitive healthcare environments.

Job Purpose
This is a mobile HVAC/mechanical engineer position around Bristol. Reporting to the Service Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in a number of NHS healthcare buildings.

Key responsibilities include:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across HVAC systems.
- Respond to reactive maintenance, fault finding, diagnosis and repair.
- Service chillers, split systems and associated plant.
- Carry out maintenance on AHUs, FCUs, pumps and motors.
- Minor installation, refurbishment and upgrade works.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and within agreed timescales.
- Accurately completing job documentation and service records.
- Participate in an on call rota for emergency and make safe work.

Experience Required
Previous relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings in a commercial setting is essential, ideally within the NHS.
You will have a relevant mechanical qualification and be F-Gas certified. In addition you will have solid Health & Safety awareness, proven experience carrying out HVAC maintenance and repairs, strong fault finding and problem solving skills. A full UK driving licence is required (no more than 6 points).
