Overview
The Technical Sales Specialist is a key member of the commercial sales team responsible for supporting the financial growth objectives related to Systems and Krack product lines. This role bridges the gap between sales, engineering, and product management to deliver value-driven solutions to customers. The position requires strong technical acumen, customer-focused collaboration, and a deep understanding of value-based selling principles related to commercial refrigeration.
Responsibilities
- Partner with commercial teams to support revenue and margin growth in Systems and Krack sales channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, application/design engineering, product development, and our factories to create customer-specific strategies and technical solutions.
- Support and mentor fellow sales professionals on ‘value selling’ and ‘price-to-value’ methodologies.
- Serve as a liaison between product management and the sales team to ensure customer customization requests are executed effectively.
- Develop comprehensive CO₂ and A2L system solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., sales reps, customers, drafters, consultants) to ensure optimal layouts and designs of system offerings.
- Engage with customers and Hussmann Sales members to provide cost-effective, value-added solutions that drive customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
- Collaborate with customers to co-develop product specifications while assessing impact on revenue and gross profit.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to inform both internal teams and external customer strategies.
- Propose and support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing customer service, operational quality, and plant-level efficiencies.

Qualifications
- BS in engineering, Business, or related field preferred, or 7+ years of technical refrigeration experience in technical sales, systems design, application engineering, or field installation.
- Deep knowledge of Food Retail Refrigeration Systems, including CO₂, A2L, and other HFC technologies.
- Effective communication and people skills.
- Proficiency in value-based selling and customer relationship management.
- 50-60% travel involved; and some international travel may be required.
- Fluency in French is a plus.
Salary: The salary or hourly range of $80,231-$133,718 is just one component of Hussmann’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
