A Snapshot of Your Day
As a HVDC Solution Architect (f/m/d), you are a key figure in our organization defining the technical strategy and solution for HVDC On-and Offshore projects globally. The Solution Architect (SA) crafts the technical strategy for the offerings, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compatibility with the solution portfolio. By analyzing customer needs early on, the SA guides the development of technologically advanced, and commercially viable solutions. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, the Solution Architect collaborates closely with Sales, Tendering, Commercial, Legal, and early involved Project Manager to ensure a seamless integration of expertise from the early stages.
The Solution Architect will support a positive project team spirit around common goals and achievements. By communicating in a very clear, open and proactive way, you are encouraging others to do the same.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Work with the customer to understand the requirements and align these with the solution portfolio, through pre-acquisition and acquisition phase
- Lead, develop and co-ordinate technical solution with national and international technical resources across the organization
- Define a technical strategy ensuring a holistic techno-commercial solution, reflecting lessons learned from former projects. Focus is on minimizing risk and ensuring quality
- Identification of market trends and R&D requirements
- Active Engagement in international committees
What You Bring
- Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field
- Extensive engineering experience in HVDC or FACTS technology (at least 10 years)
- Knowledge of project management and contract management as well as experience in leading international technical standardization is preferred
- Strong analytical and communication skills for understanding customer needs, providing value-added inputs, and excelling in multicultural environments with a strategic approach
- Proficient in negotiations, interface management, teamwork and leadership abilities
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English and knowledge of German is preferred
