ROLE SUMMARY

The Health Technology Assessment (HTA), Value & Evidence (HV&E) team is responsible for ensuring patients have affordable, timely access to medicines and vaccines by advancing innovative value and evidence solutions to inform healthcare decision-making.

The HTA, Value & Evidence (HV&E) Manager- Migraine is expected to cover administrative support and scientific tasks in the Global HV&E (HTA, Value, and Evidence) migraine team. The technical areas covered by this group are Health Economics and Outcomes Research and real-world evidence generation for payers. The candidate will report to an HV&E Director in the migraine team.

Key administrative support responsibilities include the management and tracking of project budgets and invoicing, contracting, and publications.

Acting as point of contact, the candidate will need to provide status updates and manage processes to meet tight timelines.

Scientific responsibilities will include the management of studies according to strategically agreed objectives, ensuring that study objectives are met according to timelines, with presentation and discussion of results and subsequent management of publications.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administrative support

  • Support the rimegepant team for process-related activities in the development of study protocols and projects.
  • Complete Quality Control (QC) check of protocols for studies led by the global team.
  • Maintain study documentation on client systems as needed (e.g., Global Document Management System (GDMS)) and public registries (e.g., European Union Post Authorisation Safety Study (EU PASS) register).
  • Arrange study calls with vendors/stakeholders.
  • Where appropriate, provide support for ad hoc information requests (e.g., identification of publications, informal literature searches).
  • QC of materials from vendors where appropriate.
  • Provide support for the development of publications – act as point of contact for the publication tracking for global HV&E sponsored publications.

General Support for HV&E Directors for migraine

  • Act as point of contact for relevant tracker databases (budget, study, project).
  • Liaise with project managers and budget captains for the HV&E Primary Care team to track and update the status of the budget for projects funded by the HV&E Migraine team.
  • Maintain entries on budget tracking systems as needed.
  • Track and follow up with vendors and KOL (Key Opinion Leaders) on invoice submissions.
  • Act as point of contact for contracting projects funded by the Global HV&E team and liaise with vendors, project administrators, and contracting colleagues as needed.
  • Act as point of contact for contracting KOLs and non-HCP consultants and liaise with project administrators and contracting colleagues as needed.
  • Initiate, track, and manage the compliance process for engaging with KOLs on the online internal system, where appropriate.

Scientific tasks

  • Under the guidance of Directors and Team Lead, manage RWE studies in migraine in accordance with the evidence generation strategy.
  • Input into study design and analysis in conjunction with subject matter experts.
  • Work with client internal subject matter experts and Key Opinion Leaders on the interpretation of study results.
  • Under the Guidance of Directors and Team Lead, develop publication plans for studies.
  • Oversee the development of manuscripts with external writing support, including scientific review.
  • Manage the publication process, including submission to journals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in health economics, outcomes research, epidemiology, or related field.
  • Candidate should have an advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in health services research, health policy, pharmacy, public health, epidemiology, health economics, or equivalent graduate degree.
  • Previous experience in research organization (e.g., academia, consulting, pharma) (2 years).
  • Demonstrated understanding of fundamental health services research methods (e.g., health economics, patient reported outcomes, research study design, literature reviews, database analyses, epidemiology, and statistics) and external environmental trends influencing health care/pharmaceuticals in key markets worldwide.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Be self-directed and able to work without close supervision/support.
  • People and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Experience in HEOR methods.
  • Experience and understanding of observational study designs and analysis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant experience in consulting or pharma company HEOR or related field (1 year).

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate should be able to perform general office activities (work at a desk, attend meetings via Teams) and perform data analysis tasks consistent with the role.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Attend meetings with HV&E and Pricing team (UK time zone, with attendance at Team meetings in London if appropriate).
  • May include occasional overseas travel, although this would be determined on a case-by-case basis according to need.
