Role Overview
The Hybrid Cloud Programme Delivery Director will lead the delivery of strategic hybrid cloud programmes that are transforming the bank's technology landscape. You will oversee complex, multi-million-pound initiatives spanning cloud migration, platform modernisation, automation, and Service Transition. By partnering with senior stakeholders across Technology, Operations, Infrastructure Engineering, Architecture, Finance, and Risk, you will ensure successful delivery of critical Technology outcomes, improved service resilience, accelerated technology adoption, and sustainable cost optimisation. Your leadership will directly influence how the organisation modernises its Hybrid Cloud platform and delivers future-ready technology capabilities.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Hybrid Cloud Modernise programme, driving successful execution of infrastructure transformation initiatives across private cloud, virtualisation, storage, network, and platform services.
- Own programme governance, financial management, planning, risk management, dependency management, and delivery reporting across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Lead geographically distributed teams, third-party suppliers, and technology partners to deliver complex transformation outcomes within agreed scope, budget, and timeline commitments.
- Provide executive leadership and regular updates to senior stakeholders, steering committees, and technology leadership teams, translating technical delivery into business outcomes and value.
- Drive migration and modernisation initiatives including Private Cloud transformation, workload migration, platform optimisation, application migration, decommissioning, and operational readiness activities.
- Identify and realise financial benefits through cost optimisation, technology simplification, automation, operational efficiency, and cloud consumption governance.

Your Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience leading large-scale technology transformation programmes within complex global organisations, preferably across financial services or highly regulated environments.
- Proven track record delivering hybrid cloud, infrastructure modernisation, virtualisation, and public cloud migration programmes with budgets exceeding £20m and multiple concurrent delivery streams.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, infrastructure services, automation, platform engineering, and cloud operating models.
- Demonstrable experience managing senior stakeholders, executive committees, and board-level reporting, with the ability to influence strategic decisions and gain alignment across diverse business and technology teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing technology vendors, contract negotiations, business cases, financial forecasting, benefits realisation, and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Exceptional programme leadership skills including governance, risk management, organisational change, resource planning, dependency management, and delivery assurance across global teams.
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
