Your role
Do you have a strong interest in macroeconomics and financial markets, particularly within Fixed Income?
Are you excited by the ongoing electronification of global futures and derivatives markets and the evolution of execution services?
The ETD Voice Sales Trader is responsible for delivering high quality execution and comprehensive sales coverage to institutional clients across global futures and listed options markets. The role sits within Global Markets / Execution Services, with a focus on voice led and hybrid execution, senior client coverage, revenue ownership, and contribution to franchise strategy and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Execution, Risk & Market Leadership
- Deliver best in class execution across exchange traded derivatives using voice, electronic, and hybrid execution channels
- Exercise disciplined risk management and consistent adherence to best execution standards
- Partner closely with trading desks, sales, research, and clearing
- Maintain deep, current expertise in exchange rules, contract specifications, margining, and clearing mechanics across global venues
Commercial Ownership & Revenue Accountability
- Drive execution revenues across a defined client portfolio
- Deepen strategic client relationships and lead the onboarding of new, high value execution flows
- Identify, originate, and execute new commercial opportunities across ETD execution, clearing, and related Global Markets products
- Contribute meaningfully to regional business planning, client prioritization, pricing discipline, and product expansion initiatives
- Support senior management with insights on market trends, competitive dynamics, and client demand
Client Coverage & Senior Sales Trading
- Serve as a trusted execution partner to hedge funds, asset managers, CTAs, pension funds, insurers, and proprietary trading firms
- Provide differentiated market color, liquidity insight, and guidance on execution strategy, venue selection, and market structure evolution
- Partner with clients to structure and execute increasingly complex cross market and multi asset futures and options strategies
- Actively promote and support cross selling of the firm’s broader Global Markets, Prime, Clearing, and Capital Markets capabilities

Team, Platform & Strategic Contribution
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior sales traders, contributing to talent development and succession planning
- Play an active role in shaping execution strategy, platform enhancements, and scalability initiatives across ETD
- Partner with technology, operations, and management on automation, workflow optimization, and client experience improvements
- Represent the desk in internal forums and contribute to governance, controls, and process enhancement initiatives

Your team
UBS Voice and Electronic Execution sits in our Global Markets division and offers cross-asset and cross-channel client execution and electronic trading solutions. Your role will be on the hybrid Voice/Electronic Sales trading desk based in London and you will be working closely with colleagues in Zurich, Milan, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney to cover our clients on a 24 hour/5.5 day basis
Your expertise
- Proven ability to operate at a senior level in fast moving, high pressure trading environments
- Fixed Income Focus/Understanding ideally developed in a Futures and Options environment/desk 5+ years of experience
- Strong commercial mindset with demonstrated revenue ownership and client franchise development
- Highly effective collaborator across sales, trading, technology, operations, risk, and management
- Credibility with clients and internal stakeholders, with sound judgment
- You’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
