Hybrid Software Support Technician

Some support jobs are a conveyor belt of tickets. This isn’t one of them.

You’ll be the voice customers are relieved to reach — the person who actually sorts it.

We’ll make you an expert in our flagship UK product Syrinx and the hire industry, then build you a path into 2nd Line.

Founded in 1982, used in 77 countries, and still growing our Reading team one great hire at a time.

What you’ll do:

  • Give customers phone and email support they’ll thank you for
  • Own your case queue in Salesforce and keep everything moving within SLA
  • Catch the issues that matter early — and escalate them well
  • Write the knowledge-base articles that make everyone faster
  • Help test new Syrinx releases before they ship

What you’ll bring:

  • Support experience with external customers
  • A calm, confident phone manner and real care for people
  • Any SQL Server, Windows client/server, IIS or networking know-how (a big plus)
  • A fast learner who follows process and spots the detail
  • Bonus points: hire-industry knowledge, Crystal Reports, Sage/QuickBooks, or German

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
