Wholesale Sales Representative Overview

We are working with a well-established and successful fashion business looking to appoint a Wholesale Sales Representative.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional who enjoys developing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing wholesale customers while actively growing our customer base through proactive business development.

The role involves regular travel throughout the UK and Ireland, meeting customers, presenting seasonal collections, and helping retailers select products that best suit their businesses.

Wholesale Sales Representative Responsibilities

  • Build long-term relationships with existing wholesale customers, ensuring a high level of service and support.
  • Grow sales within current accounts by introducing new collections and identifying additional opportunities.
  • Research, approach, and secure new wholesale customers to expand the business.
  • Arrange and attend customer appointments across the UK and Ireland.
  • Contact customers regularly to discuss new product launches, seasonal ranges, and promotional opportunities.
  • Deliver engaging product presentations that convert customer meetings into confirmed orders.
  • Prepare quotations, product information, and sales materials tailored to customer requirements.
  • Process customer orders accurately and complete all related administration efficiently.
  • Represent the business at industry exhibitions and trade events, generating new leads and strengthening existing customer relationships.
  • Maintain regular communication with colleagues while traveling to ensure customer enquiries and orders are handled promptly.
  • Report on sales performance, customer activity, market developments, and business opportunities to the Wholesale Manager.
  • Collect customer feedback and market intelligence to support future product development and stock planning.
  • Monitor competitor activity and retail trends to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Ensure the showroom remains well-organized and professionally presented for customer visits.

  • Previous experience in a field-based or wholesale sales role, ideally within fashion, accessories, or a similar product-based industry.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and Ireland, with occasional overnight stays when required.
