Aeropeople have partnered with a global designer and manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices who are now looking to hire a permanent Hydraulic/ Mechanical Fitter, to be based at their site in Ramsgate. The successful candidate would be expected to be on site 5 days per week.

They are a leading global provider of industrial technology solutions serving a diverse set of attractive niche markets, recognised as a global provider of third-party MRO services to commercial, regional and general aviation customers as well as military, helicopter and business jet markets. As a global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices they offer specialised services for more than 5,000 components over a variety of aircraft systems with capabilities covering aircraft windings, electrical power, hydraulic components, landing gear and safety equipment.
Main Responsibilities
- To disassemble Hydraulic/ Mechanical components down to their sub/ individual components.
- Working from Technical data carry out assembly of various Hydraulic and Mechanical assemblies, components ready for final testing/ final inspection.
- Maintain and ensure implementation of all standard operating practices and procedures.
- Ensure strict compliance and implementation of all safety standards.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained in accordance with CAA, EASA, FAA and company procedures.
- Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Other duties as required related to Operations or the business needs.

- Basic salary up to £32,000 dependent upon experience
- Overtime available at x 1.5 normal rate during the week/ x 2 normal rate at weekends

About You
- Background in mechanical or hydraulic engineering
- Numerate and literate – minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
- A high level of numeracy and literacy is required, as well as an ability to interpret and follow in detail compliance manuals.
- An ability to work to tight deadlines is essential, whilst maintaining a high degree of quality, workmanship and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work well in multidiscipline/cross-functional teams.
- Customer focused and able to build and maintain robust customer relationships.
- Strong analytical, administrative and organisation skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communicator (written and verbal).
- Well organised and self-motivated.
