Hydromechanical Systems Engineer

📍 Filton, Bristol (Hybrid, 3 days on-site)
✈️ Aerospace | Landing Gear Systems | Hydraulic Systems

We're looking for a Hydromechanical Systems Engineer to join our growing Aerospace team supporting the development, integration and certification of complex aircraft Landing Gear and Hydraulic Systems.

This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge programmes involving landing gear actuation, steering, braking, extension/retraction systems and hydraulic control architectures, supporting projects from requirements through to test, qualification and certification.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing and managing system and subsystem requirements.
  • Supporting integration of landing gear and hydraulic systems.
  • Leading Verification & Validation, Test & Evaluation, and Qualification activities.
  • Evaluating hydromechanical design solutions and driving technical decision-making.
  • Investigating hydraulic and mechanical system issues and supporting root cause analysis.
  • Working closely with customers, suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience within Aerospace Systems Engineering.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical or hydromechanical aircraft systems.
  • Understanding of landing gear actuation, braking, steering or related aircraft systems.
  • Verification & Validation and system integration experience.
  • Requirements management experience using DOORS or Polarion.
  • Familiarity with qualification, certification and compliance activities.
