Overview

At PepsiCo UK, we’re proud to make some of the nation’s favourite snacks and drinks—like Walkers, Quaker, Doritos, Pipers, and Monster Munch. With sites across the UK, including our Quaker mill in Cupar and Doritos factory in Coventry, we’re also home to one of the world’s largest crisp factories in Leicester.

As a Hygiene Manager, you will be responsible for the overall cleanliness and food safety compliance of both sites (Lincoln & Brigg). The role ensures that all factory areas, equipment, and site standards are maintained to strict standards to prevent contamination, protect brand reputation, and satisfy our consumers.

This role will require regular travel between Lincoln and Brigg sites, so an own car and clean driving license are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and owning the site hygiene strategy, including planned sanitation windows and the creation of detailed cleaning schedules as part of MSS.
  • Managing and motivating the site team, including training, to deliver the right standard every day.
  • Maintaining audit-ready compliance to BRCGS, GFSI, and AIB standards.
  • Overseeing microbial swabbing, ATP testing, and swab trending to identify trends and eliminate any exception situations.
  • Managing chemical stocks and usage according to COSHH regulations.
  • Leading Root Cause Analysis investigations into hygiene and swab failures and driving efficiency in all practices.
  • Driving sustainable hygiene improvement.
  • Creating, implementing, and delivering robust hub-wide MSS.
  • Owning all planned sanitation outages across both sites.
  • Managing sanitation standards delivered by in-house and ISS 3rd party contractors.
  • Maintaining PEM activities in line with business standards in collaboration with Food Safety Manager.
  • Managing all allergen cleaning activities, including validation methods, in collaboration with Food Safety Manager.
  • Maintaining the Food Defence Plan.
  • Owning 3rd Party Laundry services.
  • Managing 3rd party Chemical supply, including ordering and full COSHH management.
  • Managing 2 core Shift Hygienists.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
